Why Do You Use Coconut Soy Wax in Your Candles?
Our candles are made from all-natural soy. Our candles are very eco-friendly in that we do not add harmful chemicals and preservatives to our soy.
Soy wax is a 100% natural wax derived from soybeans. It is a renewable resource that is not only biodegradable, but cleans up with plain old soap and water. It has a lower melting point than paraffin wax and because of this, soy candles will burn slower (or longer) than paraffin candles, meaning you get a candle that burns longer. It is also an excellent fragrance carrier that does not require chemical amplifiers. 

Have you ever had a bunch of black buildup around the walls where you burn your candles? Not with soy! Soy wax burns with zero petro soot. 

My Candle Has a Frosted Look - Why?
Your candle is 100% Natural Coconut Soy - It's a Soy thing :) The frosted look in 100% Natural Coconut Soy Candles is very common and has many names. Some of those names are indicative of their specific traits: "cauliflower bursts", "Frosted", "Snowflakes", or "star-bursts." These are some of the names they are described by. Frosting has no effect on the burn quality of your candle, and may be more extreme in darker colored candles.
Many Customers look for these frosted bits as it is a natural characteristic of 100% Natural Soy candles. You know for a fact if it has these bursts it isn't a soy blend or paraffin wax, it is that Natural Soy we all have grown to love :)
Since our candles are All Natural Soy and very Eco-Friendly we do not add harmful chemicals and preservatives that would normally prevent frosting. We do try to minimize the appearance of frosting by switching the pouring temperature and changing the environment the candles cool in. It is practically impossible to have a 100% Natural Soy candle without frosting.

 

Temperature shifts can create frosting after the fact as well, so going from a hot delivery truck to an air-conditioned home or a cold delivery truck to a nice and cozy home can definitely affect the candle. It's just one of those things we grow to love about our 100% all-natural soy candles?

How Do I Care for My Candle?

 

You shouldn't burn your candle for more than about 3 hours at a time. Make sure you trim the wick to about 1/4" after every burn :) 

 

Also, follow the instructions on the warning label. Make sure you don't ever leave it burning without supervision and do not place it anywhere near combustible material.
